Line Editing

Roughly analogous to the "textile/weaving" aspect of editing which I discuss at this blog entry, line editing cleans up paragraphs and sentences. It attends to matters of voice, tone, and flow, but does not involve restructuring. Line editing is sufficient when a manuscript is already well planned, well structured, and well written.
